The Palisades-Malibu YMCA will open its annual Christmas tree lot on December 1 and will sell trees through December 23
YMCA’s annual Boot Camp for Cancer with trainer Betsy Cantor was held on October 26 at Simon Meadow. Executive Director Jim Kirtley said, “I was there in honor of my mother who completed her last radiation treatment on October 23 for her battle with breast cancer.” Sponsors included Ralphs, Vons, Noah’s Bagels, Innate Wellness, Enterprise Fish Co., Café Vida, Beauty Counter, Garden Café and The Message Place. The Red Flames defeated the Raiders at a flag football game on October 7 at Simon Meadow. Parent Angelica Hernandez reported that the team ranges in age from 7 to 10 years old. The team includes girls and some kids who have never played before. Her son Mattias is grabbing the flag of his opponent and sister Maya is ready in case he misses.
